A severed human leg found in the Bronx is suspected to be the remains of a man dragged by the subway.
The leg was discovered on the tracks by MTA workers, and investigators believe it belonged to a man hit by a train miles away.
“Upon arrival, officers observed a human leg along the roadbed. The leg was removed, and the investigation remains ongoing,” an NYPD spokesman said.
Another body missing a leg was found in Lower Manhattan.
Police suspect the leg was dragged by a train to the Bronx.
The leg was sent for testing to confirm its connection to the body found earlier.
The identity of the deceased man has not been released.
There has been a rise in train collisions in NYC, with many incidents involving mentally ill individuals or suicide attempts.
