According to a New York Times report, the Biden White House has taken extensive measures to protect the president’s safety and manage his public appearances following some stumbles.
Biden now exclusively uses shorter stairs to board Air Force One due to a fall, and a Secret Service agent stands guard at the bottom.
His aides also provide him cue cards for events and abruptly end question periods to avoid unpredictable interactions.

Notably, traditional interviews have been forgone. While the Biden campaign promised transparency, the Times described his current environment as “cloistered” and “wrapped in a presidential cocoon” aimed at shielding Biden from mistakes.
The measures underscore efforts to carefully control Biden’s public exposure and prevent further incidents following some missteps.
