Mahomes, Kelce Donate Thousands To KC Shooting Victims

Chiefs players and the team donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to victims of a shooting at their Super Bowl victory parade that left one person dead and 22 injured.

Patrick Mahomes and his wife donated $50,000 through their foundation to a fund set up by the Chiefs and United Way to support healing.

Chris Rosson, president and CEO of the United Way of Greater Kansas City, wrote in a statement, “This moment is an opportunity to turn our collective outrage into action.”

The Chiefs, owner’s foundation, and NFL donated $200,000 to the #KCStrong Fund, which has raised over $860,000 for victims and their families, first responders, and violence prevention.

Travis Kelce donated $100,000 to the Reyes family to help two young female family members that were shot.

The GoFundMe for the Reyes family sought money for “vital financial support for their physical and mental recovery, any leftover funds will be saved for their college funds.”

His girlfriend Taylor Swift donated $100,000 to the family of a woman killed.

Mahomes and his wife visited the hospitalized girls. The donations aimed to support victims, their recovery and college funds.
