An 11-year-old girl named Audrii Cunningham went missing in Texas on Feb. 15.

Don Steven McDougal, a person of interest in her disappearance, was initially arrested on unrelated charges. McDougal has a criminal history.

Now he’s facing capital murder in the Cunningham case. Authorities say there was suspect foul play.

“This investigation remains active and ongoing. If you have any information related to the disappe[arance] of 11-year-old Audrii Cunningham, contact the Polk County Sheriff’s Office,” TDPS Southeast wrote online.

A backpack believed to be Audrii’s was found near Lake Livingston Dam. Audrii body was found in Trinity River.
