The Tucson Sector saw a significant spike in migrant apprehensions, with nearly 14,000 migrants being apprehended in a week, reaching levels similar to those seen during the record-breaking month of December.
This surge follows a temporary decline in January.

The sector continues to be the busiest for Border Patrol, with December seeing approximately 80,000 migrant apprehensions.
Many migrants are also attempting to evade apprehension by using camouflage and sneaking into the country.
