Donna Kelce, mother of NFL stars Travis and Jason Kelce, has been appointed as Ziploc’s chief leftover officer to raise awareness about food waste, particularly during Super Bowl parties.
The company aims to combat food waste by encouraging the use of Ziploc bags for leftovers.
This move follows a survey revealing that around 10 million pounds of food were wasted after last year’s Super Bowl parties.

Kelce’s role also involves promoting Ziploc’s Stay Open Design bags to increase sales.
She will provide personal tips for reusing leftovers.
Kelce said, “The rumors are true.”
“My first order of business is tackling the game day leftovers dilemma,” she continued.
Ziploc wrote in a statement, “Imagine 290 football fields worth of pizza thrown away.”
This partnership was announced ahead of the 2024 Super Bowl, where Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are set to play, generating significant media attention.
