Conservative group NLPC challenges Oreo’s partnership with PFLAG, criticizing the LGBT organization’s “militant activist intent” and its support for sexually explicit books in schools.

NLPC released an ad and shareholder proposal calling for a committee to examine the risks of Oreo’s associations with groups like PFLAG.

NLPC created the ad “because of the threat an iconic brand so popular with kids poses by collaborating with the destructive gender ideology advocates and transgender surgery supporters at PFLAG,” Corporate Integrity Project director Paul Chesser said.

The proposal aims to produce more transparency about the company’s actions.

“Basically the proposal calls for the company to reconsider alliances with divisive political activists like PFLAG, and a report would at least produce more transparency about whatever else the company is doing,” Chesser said.

Other companies such as Bud Light, Target, and Disney have faced repercussions for taking sides on similar issues.
