Former President Donald Trump indicated that he considers RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel a friend and that he will decide on recommendations for RNC growth after the South Carolina primary.
Trump’s comments followed an interview where he suggested potential changes in the RNC’s leadership.
He emphasized McDaniel’s previous work in Michigan and hinted at potential future adjustments.

“You have to understand, I have nothing to do with the RNC; I’m separate,” explained Trump.
“How’s Ronna McDaniel doing?” asked Maria Bartiromo.
Trump answered, “I think she did great when she ran Michigan for me, I think she did okay initially in the RNC. I would say right now, there’ll probably be some changes made.”
The RNC’s financial situation, with low cash reserves and debt, has raised concerns, leading to discussions about McDaniel’s future during recent meetings.
These developments have sparked a broader conversation within the party, as highlighted by the Restoring National Conference summit and the attendance of numerous party officials and Republican county chairs.
