Taylor Swift made a glamorous appearance at the 2024 Grammy Awards and used the occasion to announce her new album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” set to release on April 19.
Her outfit sparked speculation about a possible rerelease of her album “Reputation,” but the new album’s cover and handwritten lyrics shared on social media hinted at a different direction.
Swift’s previous album, “Midnights,” received six Grammy nominations, and if she wins Album of the Year, she will make history as the first musician to win in that category four times.
“I want to say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret that I’ve been keeping from you for the past two years, which is that my brand-new album comes out April 19,” Swift said.
“It’s called ‘The Tortured Poets Department.’ I’m going to go and post the cover right now backstage.”
