Celebrity chef Salt Bae faced criticism for boasting about a $108,000 bill at his Dubai steakhouse.

The extravagant meal included gold-covered beef, pricey drinks, and a hefty tip, prompting backlash over excessive spending during a global cost-of-living crisis.

This isn’t the first time Nusret Gökçe has courted controversy, as previous reports have highlighted lawsuits, labor violations, and poor reviews at his restaurants.

“Money comes, money goes,” Nusret said.

Despite his flamboyant showmanship, the exorbitant pricing has drawn widespread criticism, raising questions about the value of such extravagant dining experiences.

“What’s revolting is the bragging,” one Instagram user wrote. “Are we supposed to be impressed you think so little of money? With everything else going on in the world, it’s just gross.”

“Some folk have more money than sense and it’s their business,” another said.

“Most overrated and overpriced restaurant,” one user said.

“Imagine being this wealthy and blowing it on food that isn’t worth it,” another wrote.
