The Department of Defense Inspector General’s report revealed severe and systemic issues in the White House Medical Unit’s pharmacy operations during the Trump administration.
The pharmacy reportedly distributed prescription medications, including controlled substances, to ineligible staff, and spent significantly on brand-name medications.
The report recommended the establishment of more robust policies and controls for prescription medication management within the White House, under the oversight of senior health officials in the Department of Defense.
The findings aim to prevent similar issues in future administrations.
