Five members of the 2018 world junior hockey gold medal team are being asked to surrender to law enforcement in Canada to face sexual assault charges related to a 2022 complaint.

The complaint alleges that a woman was sexually assaulted by several members of the team in a hotel room following a Hockey Canada gala event in 2018.

The London Police declined to comment, and the complaint was reportedly settled in 2022.

“We are unable to provide an update at this time. When there is further information to share regarding this investigation, we will be in contact with media outlets,” London Police stated.

After additional allegations and settlements surfaced, Hockey Canada faced significant fallout, including loss of sponsors and changes in leadership.
