Hillary Clinton faced social media mockery for comparing herself to Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie, who were not individually nominated for Academy Awards for their work on “Barbie.”
Clinton’s post received criticism, with many reminding her of her 2016 campaign errors.
Clinton wrote, “Greta & Margot, While it can sting to win the box office but not take home the gold, your millions of fans love you. You’re both so much more than Kenough. #HillaryBarbie.”

“Margot really should’ve visited Wisconsin,” joked a user.
“How dare those other women get nominated. This is just more proof of sexism in the entertainment industry,” another user commented.
“Barbie was a bad movie. Just because it made a lot of money doesn’t make it good or a winner. Similarly, just because Hillary Clinton got a lot of votes doesn’t make her good or President of the United States,” added another.
“Oppenheimer was a much better film. And Trump a better candidate,” highlighted another X user.
The film “Barbie” received eight Oscar nominations, but fans were disappointed that Robbie and Gerwig were not nominated for their roles.
The film’s classification as an adapted screenplay also complicated its chances for an Oscar win.
