A Delta Airlines Boeing 757 with 184 passengers aboard had to abort takeoff at Atlanta’s international airport when a nose wheel fell off.

The incident occurred as the plane was taxiing for departure to Bogota, Colombia.

No one was injured, and passengers were transferred to another aircraft.

“Delta Flight 982 ATL/BOG was taxiing for departure when a nose gear tire came loose from the landing gear,” Delta stated.

“All customers and their bags were removed from the aircraft, transferred to the gate and onto a replacement aircraft.”

“We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience,” they said.

The event adds to recent safety concerns for Boeing, as another incident involving an Alaska Airlines jet and a critical failure on a Boeing plane carrying the U.S. Secretary of State have raised further safety questions.
