Several celebrities, including Matthew McConaughey and Shakira, have faced issues with alleged stalkers.
McConaughey obtained a 5-year restraining order against a woman who claimed to be his “common law wife” and had been sending him unsettling communications.
Meanwhile, a man who insisted he was Shakira’s husband showed up at her home, leading to a court appearance and an increased bond. (Trending: Joe Biden’s Approval Crashes To New Low)
“She’s my wife. I speak to her all the time,” stalker Daniel John Valtier said.
“This man is delusional. He’s saying she’s his wife, and that’s not true. That’s very concerning to the court,” a judge said.
“I have a man making comments in court to me (suggesting) he believes he has the right to be with this person, and that’s absolutely not true. I’m not going to put up with it.”
“You’re dead you know,” one stalker said to Taylor Swift’s home intercom in June. “You’re holding her prisoner and I need to set her free.”
“I carry QuikClot army grade bandage dressing, which is for gunshot or stab wounds. Websites and tabloids have taken it upon themselves to post every home address I’ve ever had online. You get enough stalkers trying to break into your house and you kind of start prepping for bad things,” Swift said.
“Every day I try to remind myself of the good in the world, the love I’ve witnessed and the faith I have in humanity,” Swift added. “We have to live bravely in order to truly feel alive, and that means not being ruled by our greatest fears.”
Additionally, Britney Spears’ ex-husband, Jason Alexander, faced legal consequences after attempting to crash her wedding in 2022.
