Bill Belichick, the longtime New England Patriots coach, has interviewed for the head coach position with the Atlanta Falcons.

This marks his first step in a potential return to coaching.

Belichick is competing with several other candidates for the job, including Mike Macdonald, Brian Callahan, Steve Wilks, Ejiro Evero, and Anthony Weaver. (Trending: 2024 Miss America Winner Crowned)

The Falcons fired their previous coach, Arthur Smith, after three consecutive 7-10 seasons without making the postseason.

Belichick, who won six Super Bowls with the Patriots, has also faced recent postseason struggles.

Despite this, there is speculation about his potential move to Atlanta, with former Patriots player Rob Gronkowski suggesting that Belichick may be headed there.

Former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, said, “Don’t expect Coach Belichick to be done from here on out. He’s coming back with [a] vengeance. And I’ve been hearing on the streets that the Atlanta Falcons are coming in hot for Coach Belichick.”
