North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum endorsed former President Donald Trump on the eve of the Iowa caucuses, emphasizing the need for a change in direction from President Joe Biden’s leadership.
Burgum highlighted Trump’s work in office, particularly in cutting red tape and promoting energy dominance, and encouraged voters to support Trump in the caucuses as a message that he will make America great again.

Burgum said, “Under President Trump, America was safe and prosperous. And tomorrow when you caucus, you have an opportunity to send a message to the nation and send a message to the world: that Donald J. Trump will make America great again.”
Burgum’s endorsement of Trump contrasts with former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie’s opposition to Trump’s potential future presidency.
“I am going to make sure that in no way do I enable Donald Trump to ever be president of the United States again,” said Christie.
“And that’s more important than my own personal ambitions,” he added.
