Illegal Alien Charged With Murder Claims He Is a Victim of Racism And Police Brutality

via First Coast News

An illegal alien, Virgilio Aguilar-Mendez of Guatemala, charged in connection with the death of a Florida sheriff’s deputy, claims his constitutional rights were violated and alleges police brutality and racial profiling.

His defense attorney threatens a federal lawsuit if charges are not dropped, citing the alleged abuses and calling the charges a grave injustice.

Aguilar-Mendez was found incompetent to stand trial and ordered to undergo competency treatment. (Trending: Trump Responds To Biden’s Bombing In Yemen)

“Mr. Virgilio was a victim of police brutality. He was a victim of racial profiling,” defense attorney Phillip Arroyo said.

“He was a victim of violation of his fourth, fifth, and sixth amendment constitutional rights. Those who are responsible for this abuse will be held accountable.”

The incident involved a struggle with the deputy, during which the deputy collapsed and later died.

Aguilar-Mendez, who arrived at the U.S.-Mexico border last year and was released into the U.S., had been working on a farm and sending money back to Guatemala, according to his attorney.
