DeSantis praised Haley for speaking out strongly on key issues and mentioned his wife’s ties to South Carolina.

The debate, occurring after Chris Christie dropped out of the 2024 race, saw Haley criticizing DeSantis for his “lies,” presidential campaign, and record as Florida governor.
The former President Donald Trump, the current GOP front-runner, did not attend the debate and maintained a significant lead over DeSantis in national polls.
