Hunter Biden’s art dealer testified that Hunter knew about the purchases of his paintings, contradicting the White House’s ethics plan to keep buyers’ identities confidential.

The most lucrative buyer was a lawyer known as Hunter’s “sugar brother,” who bought $875,000 worth of artwork.

Other buyers included an individual appointed by President Biden to a commission. (Trending: GOP Rep. Mace Clashes Directly With Hunter Biden At Hearing)

House Republicans have accused President Biden of using his status for personal gain, and the White House’s ethics arrangement has been criticized as a “sham” and a potential mechanism for bribery.

“The Biden White House appears to have deceived the American people about facilitating an ethics agreement governing the sale of Hunter Biden’s art,” Oversight Committee Chair James Comer said.

“The vast majority of Hunter Biden’s art has been purchased by Democrat donors, one of whom was appointed by President Biden to a prestigious commission after she purchased Hunter Biden’s art for tens of thousands of dollars shortly after Joe Biden’s inauguration. The White House has a lot of explaining to do about misleading the American people,” he added.

“So instead of disclosing who is paying outrageous sums for Hunter Biden’s artwork so that we could monitor whether the purchasers are gaining access to government, the WH tried to make sure we will never know who they are,” Walter Shaub wrote.

“That’s very disappointing.”
