A wealthy descendant of the Hermès fashion house, Puech, plans to adopt his 51-year-old gardener from a modest Moroccan family as his heir, sparking intense speculation.
Puech, facing family discord, aims to pass on his immense wealth and properties to the gardener, challenging legal hurdles and potential conflicts with prior commitments to a foundation combating misinformation.
The unorthodox move follows a clash within the Hermès family and may serve as a legal tactic to preempt interference with Puech’s will. (Trending: Obama Judge Issues Shock Ruling Against Democrats)
“A bitter rift emerged in 2014 when LVMH, a rival luxury conglomerate, acquired a substantial stake in Hermès, sparking an acrimonious battle within the family,” the report noted.
“Puech’s departure from the company’s board amid this turmoil signaled irreparable discord with his kin,” the report added.
“He resigned because he has felt for several years beleaguered by members of his family, who have attacked him on several fronts, not only regarding LVMH,” Puech’s spokesperson stated.
