“I woke up, went to the kitchen, I grabbed one of the kitchen knives, and then I went to her room and I…,” Derek Rosa said.

“It’s ok, you can say it,” a detective said.

“I killed her,” Rosa admitted.

After the confession, he considered suicide but ultimately called the police.

The interrogation also touched on his gaming habits and his request for a lawyer, leading to the interview’s conclusion.

The case may go to trial soon.
