Texas Governor Greg Abbott criticized Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for blaming record migrant apprehensions on climate change, asserting that the real cause is Biden’s failure to enforce immigration laws.
Mayorkas accused Abbott of a “remarkable failure of governance” and refused to cooperate with Texas’s efforts to address the border crisis.
The Biden administration has opposed Texas’s border security measures, including removing razor-wire barriers and threatening to sue over a new law criminalizing illegal entry. (Trending: Fauci’s Ex-Boss Admits The Truth About COVID)
Climate change?
Mayorkas is pathetic.
The REAL reason illegal immigration records are being set is because Biden refuses to enforce immigration laws.
We will send more buses and planes.
We will continue building the razor wire walls that Biden wants to tear down. https://t.co/Z0j9MVS74c

“The REAL reason illegal immigration records are being set is because Biden refuses to enforce immigration laws,” said Gov. Abbott.
“Let me identify one fundamental problem here,” said Mayorkas.
“That is the fact that we have one governor, in the state of Texas, who is refusing to cooperate with other governors and other local officials to coordinate efforts to address a challenge that this county … is facing. And its a remarkable failure of governance to refuse to cooperate with fellow local and state officials,” he continued.
Governor Abbott has vowed to continue deploying buses to relieve the strain caused by illegal crossings until President Biden secures the southern border.
“Until President Biden upholds his constitutional duty to secure America’s southern border, Texas will continue to deploy as many buses as needed to relieve the strain caused by the surge of illegal crossings,” said Gov. Abbott.
