A recent report revealed that China used a U.S. internet service provider to transmit data from its spy balloon back to China as it crossed the United States.
The Biden administration was aware of the balloon and its transmissions but allowed it to travel across the country before shooting it down.
The administration sought a secretive court order to monitor the balloon’s communications with China. (Trending: Obama Judge Issues Shock Ruling Against Democrats)
A Chinese spy balloon has been flying over the United States for a couple of days, U.S. officials said, in what would be a brazen act just days ahead of a planned trip to Beijing by Secretary of State Antony Blinken https://t.co/m0jiZJ6Lpk pic.twitter.com/WYO9hdFBlt

“As we had made it clear before, the airship, used for meteorological research, unintentionally drifted into U.S. because of the westerlies and its limited self-steering capability,” Chinese Embassy spokesperson Liu Pengyu said.
“The facts are clear.”
Despite China’s claims that it was a weather balloon, evidence suggests it was a spy operation.
Additionally, the administration attempted to conceal the balloon’s existence and allowed it to continue transmitting data to China before taking action.
“Before it was spotted publicly, there was the intention to study it and let it pass over and not ever tell anyone about it,” a U.S. official stated.
The incident has raised questions about the administration’s allegiance to American or Chinese interests.
