Mexico’s President, Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), suggested to a U.S. delegation that he could reduce migration to the United States if President Joe Biden provides more aid and support to Latin American dictators.

López Obrador said, “it is more efficient and more humane to invest in the development of the people.”
“The migration issue is going to intensify,” he continued.
Auden Cabello, a Mexico-based journalist wrote, “Mexico has the upper hand this time around.”
Foreign Relations Secretary Alicia Bárcena, said, “We spoke about the importance of the border, and about the economic relationship … the importance of reopening the border crossings, that is a priority for us.”
