President Joe Biden did not publicly address the Christmas Day drone attack by Iran-backed militants that injured three U.S. troops in northern Iraq.
Instead, he posted a “Happy Kwanzaa” message on social media and departed for a vacation to the U.S. Virgin Islands.
This marked the first time a U.S. service member was critically injured in a series of attacks by Iran-backed groups since October 17. (Trending: Could Taylor Swift Save Biden In 2024?)
Jill and I wish a very Happy Kwanzaa to all those celebrating across America and around the world.
May your homes be filled with hope, peace, and light.

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) wrote, “Early assessments indicate that these U.S. airstrikes destroyed the targeted facilities and likely killed a number of Kataib Hezbollah militants.”
After the attack, Biden ordered a counterstrike against Kataib Hezbollah and affiliated groups, which was reported to have likely killed a number of militants.
However, the Iraqi government criticized the U.S. strikes as a violation of Iraqi sovereignty and reported casualties among Iraqi servicemen.
