A woman in Frostproof, Florida, was arrested for animal cruelty and neglect after a large number of birds, cats, and dogs were seized from her property due to hazardous living conditions.

The police found high levels of ammonia inside the home, which posed a danger to both humans and animals.

The woman, who claimed to be her mother’s caregiver, admitted to being overwhelmed by the situation.

She now faces multiple charges and the animals will be evaluated by veterinarians for rehoming.
