Chinese President Xi Jinping’s apparent lack of respect for U.S. President Joe Biden has come to light following a recent meeting.

Xi reportedly informed Biden of China’s decision to “reunify” Taiwan with the mainland, despite Biden’s prior commitment to defend Taiwan with U.S. forces.

This revelation raises questions about Xi’s respect for U.S. policy, military strength, and Biden’s resolve. (Trending: Assault Weapons Ban Set To Take Effect, Here’s What To Know)

The situation has prompted Senator Lindsey Graham to propose a robust defense for Taiwan and pre-invasion sanctions against China.

“This story as reported is beyond unnerving,” Graham said.

“I will be working with Democratic and Republican Senators to do two things quickly.”

“First, create a robust defense supplemental for Taiwan and second, draft pre-invasion sanctions from hell to impose on China if they take action to seize Taiwan.”
