President Biden refrained from directly commenting on the legal implications of the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision to bar Trump from the state’s ballot, leaving the matter to the judiciary.

Democrats were cautious in their response, fearing that outward celebration would play into Trump’s hands and potentially inflame his supporters.

Few Democrats challenged the ruling, with some believing it was correct. (Trending: Judge Announces Historic Ruling In Jeffrey Epstein Case)

“It’s self-evident,” began Biden.

“You saw it all. Now whether the 14th Amendment applies, I’ll let the court make that decision,” he continued.

“But he certainly supported an insurrection,” charged the President.

“No question about it. None. Zero,” emphasized Biden.

A senior Democratic strategist, who chose to remain anonymous said, “It just kind of adds to the pile of wood that he puts on the fire.”

“And I just don’t think it’s helpful,” added the source.

Democratic strategist David Axelrod warned, “I would not engage in a discussion about this.”

“I would be preparing to face Trump. The way they’re handling it is the right way,” he continued.

Adding, “You don’t want to tell the American people — I don’t trust you to make the decision.”

Biden’s former chief of staff Ted Kaufman felt differently about the court’s ruling.

“I think it’s on point. I think they’re right in what they’re doing,” said Kaufman.

“That’s what the Constitution says,” he explained.

“It says it’s an insurrection, clearly what they did was an insurrection. It’s pretty straightforward, isn’t it?” declared the former senator.

“If you’re worrying about that, you’re buying into a Republican premise, which is that courts are hopelessly politicized,” said Pat Dennis, president of the Democratic super PAC, American Bridge 21st Century.

Continuing, “And I think that is like a fundamental premise that they need in order to delegitimize a legitimate prosecution of the former president. I don’t buy that premise.”

On the other hand, Republicans denounced the decision as political interference.

Some saw potential benefits in the ruling, such as reinforcing the perception of the Supreme Court’s alignment with Trump.

Overall, the situation was seen as complex and politically charged.
