Tunisian Migrant Arrested in New York For Allegedly Trying to Buy Child

A 62-year-old Tunisian migrant was arrested in New York for allegedly attempting to purchase a five-year-old child from her mother.

He was found to be illegally present in the United States after overstaying his visa.

“Removing this individual is a matter of public safety and aligns with the interests of our law enforcement partners to remove predators and other dangerous people from our communities,” stated Patrol Agent in Charge David Banks.

The arrest aligns with the efforts to remove dangerous individuals from communities, and the migrant is being charged under immigration laws.
