Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green faces an indefinite suspension after hitting Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic and being ejected.

This is Green’s 18th career ejection and his second this season.

The incident occurred during a game, and Green, Nurkic, and others are expected to discuss a counseling plan. (Trending: New Movie Obamas Helped Make Raises Eyebrows: ‘Don’t Trust White People’)

The suspension is meant to “allow Green to take the time he might need to deal with challenges he’s facing,” ESPN wrote.

“He was pulling my hip, and I was swinging away to sell the call,” Green said following the game.

“I made contact with him. As you know, I’m not one to apologize for things I meant to do, but I do apologize to Jusuf because I didn’t intend to hit him.”

“What’s going on with him, I don’t know,” Nurkic said.

“Personally, I feel like that brother needs help. I’m glad he didn’t try to choke me.”

“That had nothing to do with basketball. I’m just out there trying to play basketball.”

Green was previously suspended for a similar incident.

The Warriors’ head coach emphasized Green’s importance to the team and the need for him to maintain composure.

“We need him. We need Draymond,” Coach Kerr stated.

“He knows that. We’ve talked to him. He’s got to find a way to keep his poise and be out there for his teammates.”
