“COVID’s been over for years. Where are the workers?” asked Sen. Ernst.
“But today, not a single agency has an occupancy rate of even 50 percent,” highlighted the Iowa Republican.
“That’s abysmal,” she continued.
“The Biden administration really doesn’t want the public to see the naughty list of no-shows,” explained Ernst.
Adding, “This is information we did get through a request with the Biden administration.”
“So if we are not going to bring workers back, folks, let’s get rid of this space. It’s costing our taxpayers a lot of money,” said Ernst about wasting money maintaining empty federal buildings.
“Use it or lose it,” prompted Ernst.
The situation reflects a lack of accountability and raises concerns about overall government spending.
Sen. Ernst’s criticism extends to the broader economic impact of Biden’s current policies, suggesting a need to address these issues at the highest levels of government.

Topping the list of “no shows”, HUD and the SSA, with just 7% office occupancy rates.
