Hasan Bitmez, deputy head of Turkey’s Islamist Saadet (Felicity) Party, suffered a severe health incident during a Turkish Parliament session while criticizing the government’s policy on Israel’s actions in Gaza.
He accused Israel of “crimes against humanity” and “ethnic cleansing” of Palestinians and criticized his government for supporting Israel.

He is diabetic and later received two stents in his heart arteries.
The incident has sparked various reactions, including some attributing Bitmez’s health issue to “God’s wrath.”
Erdogan has been vocal in his criticism of Israel, accusing it of committing “war crimes” in Gaza and supporting Hamas.
