Former President Donald Trump’s comments during his civil fraud trial have taken the internet by storm, where he warned that his persecution by the New York state Supreme Court and Attorney General could ultimately lead to businesses leaving the state.
The trial involves allegations of property value inflation by Trump and the Trump Organization.
“Businesses are watching this case. No business will go back into New York. No business will, frankly, stay in New York. A lot of businesses are talking about leaving New York because of this action. This is a very serious action,” Trump stated. (Trending: Top Democrat Loses In Historic Landslide)

While Trump’s warning holds merit, history unfortunately has shown that businesses tend to conform to regimes.
Trump’s unique significance, however, may insulate other businesses from similar consequences.
The potential impact of the case on New York businesses and the complex interplay between justice, business interests, and political significance will undoubtedly change history.
