Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner are the focus of potential investigations, with House Republicans probing President Joe Biden’s family and Democrats potentially preparing their own investigation.
The New Republic article highlights financial dealings of Ivanka and Jared during their White House tenure, with a focus on income from outside sources, particularly the Trump Hotel.
House Rep. Jamie Raskin is reportedly gathering information on the Trumps, and Democratic investigators have compiled a 400-page dossier on their personal financial activities. (Trending: Tucker Reveals The Moment He Became A Full-Blown Trump Supporter)
According to CREW, Ivanka and Jared reported an income between $172 million and $640 million from outside sources while holding positions in Trump’s Administration.
“Democrats simply have other priorities, including a robust policy agenda, that they want to focus on,” revealed a Democratic source. The source also admitted that they believe “additional investigations of Trump would damage or influence his political prospects.”
“Democrats on both sides of Capitol Hill are ‘keeping their powder dry’ so that if they do decide to seriously engage in scandalmongering regarding the finances of Trump and offspring, they could do so at a ‘more effective point’ during the forthcoming presidential campaign.”
Trump’s supporters believe these investigations are politically motivated attempts to undermine the Trump family’s credibility, and prefer to focus on Ivanka and Jared’s contributions and positive impact.
Recent moves by the House Oversight Committee regarding Hunter Biden’s business entity, indicate a broader political landscape ahead of the 2024 presidential campaign.
