Many voters are concerned about the economy, particularly high inflation, leading to negative ratings for President Joe Biden.
Social media posts, including on TikTok, highlight people’s frustration with rising prices.
The White House is working to counter this narrative, engaging with TikTok creators to promote a positive economic message. (Trending: Tucker Reveals The Moment He Became A Full-Blown Trump Supporter)
“Sixteen dollars for a burger, a large fry, and a drink,” complained TikTok influencer Topher Olive.
Adding, “It’s just crazy.”
According to The New York Times, Biden’s 2024 deputy campaign manager, Rob Flaherty, the campaign is working with TikTok creators to “amplify a positive, affirmative message” about the economy.
“Joe Biden has stopped touting ‘Bidenomics’ because Americans overwhelmingly disapprove of his economic agenda,” Republican National Committee spokeswoman Anna Kelly said.
She added, “As prices continue to rise and real wages continue to fall, families can’t afford four more years.”
Republicans criticize Biden’s economic agenda, while the White House shifts focus to highlighting the potential negative impact of Republican economic proposals.
Polls consistently show weak consumer sentiment about the economy, with inflation affecting prices and borrowing costs.
Biden’s Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates published a memo titled “The growing MAGAnomics threat of skyrocketing healthcare costs,” alleging that the GOP’s economic plan will raise prices for families.
“Efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and the Inflation Reduction Act put the differences between Bidenomics and MAGAnomics into sharp perspective,” wrote Bates.
“Lower costs for hardworking families made possible by rich special interests paying their fair share in taxes, or tax windfalls for the rich that makes costs skyrocket for the American middle class,” added the spokesman.
The Biden administration seems to have moved away from promoting “Bidenomics” and is now emphasizing the dangers of “MAGAnomics.”
