Israel announced that senior Hamas commander, Haitham Khuwajari, an alleged leader of the October 7 terror attack on Israel was killed in an airstrike.
Hamas launched rockets at Israel, and speculation arose that they might empty their arsenals, to avoid sacrificing the munitions.
Reports suggested that Palestinian morale was collapsing, and Israel might appeal to Gaza residents to rise up against Hamas.
