MSNBC has cancelled Mehdi Hasan’s show and demoted him to fill-in host and political analyst as part of a weekend lineup change to improve ratings.
The network announced a new show, “The Weekend,” focusing on politics with a Washington focus, managed by Alicia Menendez, Symone Sanders-Townsend, and Michael Steele.
Ali Velshi is the only weekend host unaffected by the changes. (Trending: Disgraced Democrat Sued For Sexual Assault)

Hasan has taken extreme positions and faced criticism, including challenging Israeli officials and criticizing both Democrats and President Joe Biden.
Hasan pushed back while interviewing Israeli official Mark Regev about “endless disinformation from your government” during it’s conflict with Hamas.
He has also upset Democrats by saying Biden is “super old” and “keeps forgetting words.”
The cancellation of his show may give him time to reflect on his decisions.
