New York’s #MeToo law, known as the Adult Survivors Act, has led to a surge in lawsuits against Hollywood celebrities and prominent Democrats for sexual misconduct, assault, and rape dating back to the 1980s.
The law, signed by Gov. Kathy Hochul, lifts the statute of limitations on such complaints with no time limit on when the alleged actions took place.
Former President Donald Trump is facing a lawsuit filed by E. Jean Carroll, and other prominent figures like Jaime Foxx and Bill Cosby are also facing lawsuits. (Trending: Biden Shamefully Removes God From National Address)

“It is a Hoax and a lie, just like all the other Hoaxes that have been played on me for the past seven years,” charged Donald Trump on Truth Social.
And, while I am not supposed to say it, I will. This woman is not my type!” added the 45th president.
The law has led to over 2500 lawsuits, and there is a possibility of extending the window for filing complaints.
