A train in Mexico carrying hundreds of migrants was seen heading towards the U.S. border, reflecting the ongoing surge in people trying to enter the United States.
In response, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced temporary suspensions and reductions in vehicle processing at ports of entry in Texas and Arizona to redirect personnel to assist in taking migrants into custody.
This comes as several CBP sectors report a significant increase in migrant encounters, with the U.S. (Trending: Donald Trump Confronts Bud Light CEO.)

“The migrants were riding atop a BNSF Railway train in central Mexico as it departed from it departs Irapuato, Guanajuato, around 200 miles northwest of Mexico City,” the report found.
“The train route goes from there to Torreon, Monterey and then Piedras Negras, a border city across from Eagle Pass, Texas.”
“The actions are being taken to allow CBP to redirect personnel to assist the U.S. Border Patrol with taking migrants into custody,” the report added.
