Trump Told ABC Reporter He Hopes Fans Act On His Fiery Rhetoric

via Forbes

ABC News’ Jonathan Karl claimed that former President Donald Trump expressed the desire for his supporters to act on his words, even if it meant violence.

Karl recounted a conversation with Trump in which the president used language reminiscent of Nazi propaganda and expressed hope that his supporters would take his words to heart.

Karl expressed concern about the potential impact of such rhetoric while promoting his book, “Tired of Winning: Donald Trump and the End of the Grand Old Party.” (Trending: Photos Released Of Cocaine Found In White House)

“There were real concerns that there would be copycats, there would be more [shootings],” claims Karl.

“He’s using this language,” accused Karl of Trump.

“This language out of the Third Reich — ‘enemy of the people,'” insisted the ABC pundit.

Karl recalled that he asked the former President at the time, “Aren’t you concerned they will act on them?”

Karl alleges that, “He said, ‘I hope they take my words to heart. I believe the press is the enemy of the people,’”

The touring author posited, “Maybe it’s an inability to have any kind of empathy or understanding of the consequences of your words, but [his rhetoric] is consistent. That’s not new.”

This revelation follows Trump’s recent controversial remarks during a Veterans Day speech.
