Former Fox News Capitol Hill reporter Jason Donner filed a lawsuit against the network, alleging wrongful termination over his opposition to its coverage of the Jan. 6 Capitol attack.
Donner claims he faced pressure to push election fraud claims and was reprimanded for tweeting facts about the election.
Donner’s lawsuit claims that “reporters were facing pressure from the top-down to push the ‘election fraud claims.’” (Trending: Photos Released Of Cocaine Found In White House)
He confronted the network during the Capitol siege and raised concerns about its coverage of Jan. 6 and its platform for anti-vaccine politicians.
“It became evident to Donner he was now being targeted for speaking out against the false reporting on the election and the January 6th insurrection, and for his political affiliation,” accuses the plaintiff of Fox News.
Adding, “Fox News’ management was pushing a far right-wing agenda in the news division, and Donner would not comply with their demands to inaccurately report on the election and former President Trump.”
The lawsuit summarizes that “Ultimately, Fox News wanted to purge the news division of any staff that would not get in line with the directive to only report information that [would] appease the Trump supporters and former President Trump,”
Donner’s lawsuit alleges he was targeted for speaking out against false reporting and for his political affiliation, claiming Fox News aimed to purge staff unwilling to comply with a pro-Trump directive.
Fox News has not yet commented on the lawsuit.
