Joy Behar, co-host of “The View,” expressed her belief that Hillary Clinton won the 2016 election, emphasizing the popular vote and criticizing Donald Trump and his supporters.
“I continue to believe that you won. I don’t care what they say,” Behar pressed.
🚨 POLL: Is Hillary Clinton In Denial??
YES 👍 or NO 👎
“You know this country has a lot of problems. And the main one is named Donald Trump, okay? I can’t personally believe that this loser has so many people who still think that he could make a decent president. He’s been criminally charged with 91 counts.”

“I mean he’s practically got one foot in jail and another on a banana peel. This guy. And they still say ‘Oh we still like him.’”
“Mrs. Clinton did win the popular vote. I continue to believe that you won I don’t care what they say.”
Behar and Clinton also drew subtle comparisons between Trump and Adolf Hitler, with Clinton suggesting that Trump’s actions were telegraphing dictatorial intentions.
Clinton turned to Behar and said, “well, Hitler was duly elected… and so all of a sudden somebody with those tendencies though, dictatorial authoritarian tendencies would be like, ‘Oh, okay, we’re gonna shut this down. We’re gonna throw these people in jail.’”
“They didn’t usually telegraph that… Trump is telling us what he intends to do.”

Behar later clarified her stance on accepting election results, expressing disapproval of the Electoral College, while co-host Sunny Hostin made a wild claim about the Electoral College’s ties to slavery.
“Let me correct something because I don’t want the impression to be made that I didn’t accept the results of the… the Trump administration win,” Behar later said.
“But I don’t like the Electoral College and you won the popular vote, he won the Electoral College…and that’s the thing that needs to be addressed because it’s not one person one vote. I think it’s un-American.”
This later led the hosts into a discussion surrounding the Electoral College’s purpose and the Democratic push to abolish it after the 2016 election.
