Former President Donald Trump appeared at the New York County Supreme Court for his civil fraud case, clashing with Justice Arthur Engoron and prompting the judge to instruct him to only answer questions.

Trump’s monologue and tangential comments led to a tense exchange with the judge, who asked Trump’s counsel to control him.

Engoron questioned Trump’s lawyer Christopher Kise, “Can you control your client? This is not a political rally.” (Trending: Is It Time For Joe Biden To Drop Out Of 2024?)

Kise shot back, “You’re in control of the courtroom, not me.”

Trump’s lawyers defended his responses, while Trump criticized the trial as unfair and took a dig at New York Attorney General Letitia James and the “Democrat” prosecutors.

“This is a very unfair trial. Very, very unfair, and I hope the public is watching it,” the former President stated.
