Mary Trump, a clinical psychologist and vocal critic of her uncle Donald Trump, discussed the former President’s reaction to the New York civil fraud trial, stating that it deeply bothers him and has forced him to confront the possibility that he may not remain a successful businessman.
She warned that the closer he gets to being confronted with the truth, the more dangerous and out of control he will likely become.

“Every lie he’s told, every ounce of psychic energy he’s spent over the decades has been in the service of protecting him from the truth about who he is,” she added.
“The closer he gets to being confronted with that truth, the more dangerous he’s going to get, the more out of control he’s going to get.”
Additionally, Mary mentioned that he has faced financial setbacks and is currently dealing with a struggling social media platform, Truth Social, as well as four serious criminal indictments.
