Tyson Foods has issued a recall for approximately 30,000 pounds of dino-shaped chicken nuggets due to the presence of small metal pieces found in some patties.

The affected products, distributed in several states, have a “best if used by date” of September 4, 2024.

“The problem was discovered after the firm notified FSIS that it had received consumer complaints reporting small metal pieces in the chicken patty product,” the statement read.

“There has been one reported minor oral injury associated with consumption of this product.”

“FSIS has received no additional reports of injury or illness from consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.”

While there has been one minor oral injury reported, no other injuries have been reported.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service advises consumers to discard or return the recalled nuggets.
