Donald Trump said if he wins the presidency, he will reverse transgender protections enacted under President Biden “on day one.”

Trump made the comments on a right-wing radio show, referring to trans rights as making “the world like a cuckoo’s nest.”

“The world is like a cuckoo’s nest right now,” Trump said in reference to “men playing in women’s sports.”

He said parents concerned about trans students in locker rooms need not worry.

Trump pledged to issue an executive order reversing Biden’s 2021 order protecting LGBTQ+ people from discrimination.

Biden’s Department of Education also issued a rule enforcing Title IX’s sex discrimination protections apply to sexual orientation and gender identity.

Trump claimed he would end the rule and related policies on his first day in office.

“We’re gonna end it on day one … the whole thing is crazy,” Trump said.

During the brief interview, Trump criticized Biden on other issues like Israel, the economy, immigration and leadership ability.

He indicated reversing transgender rights would be an immediate priority in a new Trump administration.
