Donald Trump’s family faced heckling from a protester outside the courtroom where the former president’s hush-money trial is concluding.

The protesters erupted in anger as Donald Jr. and Eric Trump delivered remarks outside the courthouse. Protesters were heard yelling expletives at the Trump family.

However, Trump’s supporters began chanting: “We love Trump. We love Trump.” Trump’s children, including Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, defended him in front of the media, labeling the case as political persecution.

Eric Trump said: “I think we’re going to prevail. I’m just proud of the toughest person I’ve ever met in my entire life, for having the backbone and fortitude to go through this whole mess as uncomfortable as it’s been.”

“I’m proud to have stood there every single second by his side in that freezing cold courtroom against unthinkable odds and a corrupt judge and people making a lot of money in this political witch hunt,” he added.

Trump Jr. said the case “hinges on one man who’s not just a liar, convicted, someone who’s lost his law license, has been disbarred, someone who’s served jail time for lying before congressional bodies.”

“And that’s it,” Trump Jr. continued. “That’s where we are today in America. This is a sham. It’s insane.”

Lara Trump, Eric’s wife and the co-chair of the Republican National Committee, echoed similar arguments made by Trump’s supporters against the trial.

Donald Trump, the expected Republican nominee, is confronted with 34 felony charges for falsifying business records, each carrying a potential four-year prison sentence.

Trump maintains his innocence and pleads not guilty to the accusations.

The charges relate to claims of record falsification at his company to hide payments to Stormy Daniels by his former lawyer Michael Cohen, allegedly to suppress details of an alleged affair during the 2016 election.
