According to insiders, former TV hosts Matt Lauer and Don Lemon are plotting a media comeback by launching an “edgy and uncensored” online program.
Both were ousted from prominent roles – Lauer from NBC’s “Today” in 2017 over sexual misconduct allegations, and Lemon from CNN in 2023.
“They’re pitching all over and bragging their ideas are getting good feedback,” one source said.
Elon Musk has cancelled Don Lemon’s new show on X… To be honest, I didn’t even know Lemon was supposed to get a new show until now, but I am glad it’s been cancelled. Lemon is a toxic propagandist parasite.
You will NEVER be Tucker Carlson, Don!pic.twitter.com/HjFhKhQwxH

Lemon’s attempt to start a show on Elon Musk’s Twitter alternative X was also canceled.
They see Tucker Carlson’s online success after leaving Fox News as inspiration.
Lemon and Lauer believe they can become “kings of all media” and feel unfairly treated by past colleagues like Savannah Guthrie and Katie Couric.
“They think the time has come for them to put everyone who was mean to them in their places,” the source stated.
The report comes as Lemon was spotted in good spirits at his wedding, where a thinner Lauer appeared ready to return to the public eye seeking to “put everyone who was mean to them in their places.”
