At his large rally in New Jersey, Donald Trump unveiled a new nickname for Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, calling him “Fat Alvin.”
Trump criticized Bragg for allowing crime to go unchecked in New York City while pursuing what Trump called a “sham” case against him, done at the bidding of “crooked” Joe Biden.
“It’s no wonder Joe Biden and his thugs are so desperate to stop us,” Trump said. “They know that we are the only ones who can stop them. They know that.”
“And as you know, I’ve come here from New York where I’m being forced to endure a Biden show trial,” he said. “All done by Biden, carried out by right all being done by him. Carried out by radical Democrat, district attorney. You know who he is? Fat Alvin.
“Corrupt guy,” he added. “He’s a corrupt and really a corrupt district attorney who’s allowed crime in the city to go totally unchecked. They had the other day, they had like 20 district attorneys in this courthouse for me. And they say there’s no crime. Every single legal expert and scholar that’s written about it says there’s no crime. And they have 12 guys, even 20 guys I’ve seen sometime. He sits there half-a-day, all day.”
“In the meantime, they’re murdering people out on the streets,” he said. “And then we have a highly conflicted judge. He’s corrupted and highly conflicted. So conflicted. There’s never been a judge that’s more conflicted. Why don’t you look at that? Why doesn’t the fake news media look at that? And they’re doing the bidding for crooked Joe Biden. This is all being done by crooked Joe Biden.”
“A top scholar, great legal genius, Alan Dershowitz stated, ‘I’ve been doing this 60 years and I don’t understand what crime he’s being charged with. There’s no evidence of any crime whatsoever. This case is a sham’,” Trump added.
Trump’s attorney Alina Habba has also slammed the case’s judge as corrupted and highly conflicted.
“This is the ruin of our justice system,” Habba said.
Legal experts like Alan Dershowitz have said they see no evidence of any crime in the case against Trump.
The former president portrayed the case as politically motivated and part of the “ruin” of the justice system, with “Fat Alvin” playing a major role in that.
The rally showed Trump remains eager to attack his opponents and claim persecution in what he depicts as an unfair legal system.
